Monday

Well it's Monday morning, the sun is shining and it's a balmy -10c. I hear it's going to warm up even more to -1c as the day/week goes on.
Below are a couple of doodles for yet another idea I've been working on. Above those are a couple of pics from an old cartoon called "Destination Earth" created by John Sutherland Prod. in 1956.
You can view/download this cartoon as well as many others at this fantastic site called
The Prelinger Archives.
When you get there just type in animation in the search bar.

Another great inspiration to many. Miroslav Sasek born 1916 in Prague, Czechslovakia, created a fantastic collection of books refered to as the "This Is" series.
Check out his site here, and be inspired.

Below are some great images from a film called "the Pumkin of Nyefar".
This film was created by "Nobles Boys", A group of individuals who trained under famed Warner Bros. artist Maurice Noble. The influence is apparent in every way. Check it out...

I thought for today I'd share one of the best sites for variety that I know of. Studio AKA.What makes this commercial studio's site so cool is that they put up so much of their work it can keep you busy for hours. The images below are from their commercials.
Check out the SKY , NAT WEST , and DfT Road Safety commercials located under the commercials heading.
Also check out the PICA TOWERS clips under the Film heading.
When you get bored with those check out their Archives for tonnes more fun. Great designs and great use of multi media. Enjoy.

Wednesday

Well today I thought I'd share a few pics of my own. The first(starting from the bottom) is from a show I tried to pitch called Fox Hunt.
The second is another idea I had which was to be quite dark in humour and combinding Flash characters with painted bg's. Here the bg was designed by John Stewart and painted by The great Don Gauthier.
Last we have another pic from another project I'm currently working on in my spare(lol) time. Mixing media is fun.
