A couple of illustrations to go with some poems I've had in the back of my head for a few years.
It's good to finally get them out and make room for some new ones.
(Yes, I know the Octopus doesn't really look like an Octopus but, these things happen)

A little taste of India? Below are images from two different artists created for two different media. The bottom is from Nina Paley's animated film, incorporating Hindu mythology with an old 1920's jazz song. Check it out HERE. And visit her blog HERE. (The QT's take a little while to download.)

Above that is an image form Pixar storyboard artist Sanjay Patel, for a future childrens book and possible series. Check it out HERE.

I don't know about you but I really dig this show. It's a little different from what you would normally see for television animation. It moves well, nice snappy animation. The colours are vibrant with some nice effects and the selected use of computer animation blends in quite nicely.
Check it out if you can.

Check out the link to watch an episode of the show. I suggest watching it in media player as the quick time seems to chug. Enter the site then go to television then click On Air to watch the clip.

Below are a couple pages of sketches from a good friend Nuranee Shaw. A great inspiration back in school, I learned alot just by looking at his doodles. The best thing for me was when I realized I would never be able to draw like him and set off on my own style.
I still have a big collection of his stuff and look at it from time to time. Most of it I'm sure he feels embarrased about but it's as good today as it was then.
